[GT Navs] Nav Weekly 9/12/11

Hello everyone!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and paused for a moment to celebrate this wonderful country that we live in. It is a blessing to be able to read and study the Scriptures without persecution.

If you are not in a BIBLE STUDY but would like to be, please email Nathan Evans at nevans3@gatech.edu or Chelsea Bailey atchelseabailey15@gmail.com
It is never to late to get involved! Many have started to meet but you can always join. We want everyone to be poured into. Please get plugged in!!

EVENTS COMING UP:

Nav Nite is this Wednesday @ 8:30PM!! It will be the first one of the year and a great time! It is in the Crescent Room. The Crescent Room is on the 2nd Floor by the Einsteins. If you go by the Hair Cuttery and go up the stairs, it will be on the hallway to the left. It will be a great night!! Can't wait to see everyone there!

There will be Prayer Night  at 7:30 PM before Nav Nite at the Free Speech area. If you don't know what that is [I sure didn't know], It is the smallish amphitheater in front of Drama Tech.

Donny is our compassion child that we as Navigators have decided to sponsor. He is a wonderful child who we will help better his life. At Nav Nite there will be a board that has his letters, and more information. We recently received a new letter from Donny. If you would like to help support him, we pay compassion $32 every month. If you could bring just a couple of dollars to Nav Nite, there are enough of us to support him. Please help us support him!

Pencils Have Points. What is Your Point?
Fall Conference will be on September 30th-October 2nd in Cohutta Springs, GA. This is a great trip will all the Navigators in the Blue Ridge Region. Fran Sciacca will be throwin' down and is an amazing speaker that you must hear!! He will be talking about our identity in Christ and the mission that Christ has given us. The trip will be $100 but there are scholarships for freshmen. If you want to go PLEASE DON'T LET MONEY BE AN ISSUE. Talk to Chelsea Bailey for more information.

In case you don't know, I am a Chemistry major and here is a great joke for you all! :)

Why does hamburger have lower energy than steak?
Because it's in the ground state.

If you don't get it, well ask me on Wednesday at Nav Nite and I will explain :)

Have a great week everyone!! See ya Wednesday!
