Hi Joshua,

My name is Matt DeLockery and I wanted to let you know about an opportunity for your students.  I will be leading an Options Class called "Christian Apologetics" to teach Christians how to answer questions like "Does God exist?" "Are the Gospels reliable?" "Did Jesus really rise from the dead?" and "Why is there so much evil and suffering in the world?"  This is meant to be a supplement to Christian groups to address the kinds of questions the secular world throws at them.  It is not, nor will ever be, its own group.  Also, since the only questions that I will be addressing are ones like the existence of God and the resurrection of Jesus, it is non-denominational.  Would you please send out the email below to your students to let them know about this opportunity.  I will be happy to answer any questions you might have about me personally, what I am teaching, or about my ministry.

Thank you and God bless.

Hi,

My name is Matt DeLockery and I wanted to let you know about an Options Class I will be teaching called "Christian Apologetics."  As students in a modern secular university (especially one like Tech) your faith is challenged in ways that your parents' faith was not and that you may or may not have encountered in middle or high school.  The point of the Christian Apologetics class is to teach you how to answer questions like "Does God exist?" "Are the Gospels reliable?" "Did Jesus really rise from the dead?" and "Why is there so much evil and suffering in the world?"  As a GT alumnus, I understand the importance of learning to answer questions like this.  I have since gone on to earn my Master's in Divinity, begin a Ph.D. in New Testament, and start an apologetics ministry to help people understand that there are good reasons to be a Christian.  The classes are on Tuesdays from 6-7, and you can sign up for the class here.  I hope to see you at the first class on February 1.
