[navs-main] Fwd: Passion Confrence

Hey everyone!

Just passing on an idea from Joel. The Passion Conference will be coming to Atlanta for January 2-5. If you've never heard of Passion... It's basically a huge college Christian conference. I can guarantee you there will be tremendous speaker and workshops. And every main session is it's own worship concert, with big name people like David Crowder and Chris Tomlin. I went during my freshman year and it definitely made an impact on me. I learned a lot and was really excited and encouraged as the spring semester began. Check out this link for more info: http://268generation.com/passion2010/

If you have any interest whatsoever in going (or know a friend who is interested!) and want to go as a group, please contact Joel McKoy! (joel.mckoy@gatech.edu)

See you all at NavNite on Thursday!

Josh,

The Passion Confrence will be in Atlanta jan. 2-5th. They have a group rate: one free person for every 20 that register, not much but every little bit helps. More info: http://268generation.com/passion2010/

Hey guys!

I hope you are all surviving this rain!

Who was the greatest financier in the Bible?
Noah! He was floating his stock while everyone else was in liquidation!

I thought you might enjoy a corny flood joke.... Anyway, here are some things coming up for you to mark on your calendars!

  • Invite your friends to Fall Conference (October 2-4)! Fall Conference registration is due on Wednesday. Money and registration info needs to go to Adam by then. Contact him at 404-423-2953 or at adrozek@gatech.edu. You can give your money to your Bible Study leader, but be sure to still contact Adam. Prices are $49 for freshmen and first-timers, $69 if you bring a friend, and $99 otherwise.
  • NavNite will be back on this Thursday in Student Center room 343!
  • Come out for intramurals this week! Flag football is on Wednesdays at 8pm and ultimate frisbee is on Sunday at 2pm. Come play or show support!
  • Join us at SAY Yes! Hang out with some kids and help them with their homework. This is on Monday-Wednesday from 3-6pm. Contact Joel McKoy (joel.mckoy@gmail.com) for more information.
  • On Fridays, we're having pick-up ultimate frisbee games in either the Burger Bowl or SAC Fields at 6pm. Bring your friends and come on out!
  • Prayer Meetings are on Monday morning at 7am. Rides and breakfast are provided!
"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."  -2 Corinthians 13:14.

Have a great week!

  • We will not be having NavNite this week. Instead, get together with some friends and watch the GT vs. Miami game!
  • Fall Conference is fast approaching! Sign up by Wednesday, September 23rd!
  • Intramurals have been going really well this season! Come out and play or cheer for the flag football game on Wednesday at 8pm and the ultimate frisbee game on Sunday at 2pm!

Happy Labor Day! I hope you've all had an incredibly restful long weekend!

Here are some fantastic events coming up!

1) Fall Conference is coming up on October 2-4! The weekend will consist of great speakers, insightful workshops, an epic ultimate frisbee game, and even a dance! Some of us got to hear the guest speaker, Matt Letourneau, speak this summer and really enjoyed it. Mark your calendars!

2) Sadly we will have no NavNite this week. Happily, though, we will be having our white-out game against Clemson! Go Jackets!

3) Before the game, we will be having a cook-out at the Navigators House! Come on out at 5:30 and get some chow before game time!

4) Come out and support our intramural teams this week!  Flag football is on Wednesday at 8:00 and Ultimate Frisbee is on Sunday at 2:00 and 11:00pm on the SAC Fields.

5) Talk to Joel (joel.mckoy@gmail.com) if you're interested in getting involved with SAY Yes! It's an after-school program for kids in the area. It's a great way to serve in the community. It's on Monday through Wednesday 3:00-6:00.

Stay in the Word this week! Remember the plans Donnie shared on NavNite about reading through Colossians or smaller books of the New Testament. :-)

"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."          Joshua 1:8

Have a great week!
